There are ways to lose weight fast, naturally and in a healthy manner.
All you need to do is stay focused and stick to your plan no matter how long it takes or the number of pitfalls you face on the way.
The good news is that you don’t have to starve yourself or go under the surgeon’s knife and mutilate your body to achieve the kind of figure you’ve admired on others and always wanted for yourself.
In fact, these two weight loss methods are not recommended because they’re offer just temporary relief and you’re liable to pack on the pounds again if you resume your old sedentary lifestyle.
Neither are pills that promise quick fixes for obese people because they come with too many side effects to name here.
So what then must you do to not look down at the bathroom scales and shrink at the figure that’s displayed?

• Eat: Yes, it’s as simple as that. To lose weight, you must eat, not just any kind of food, but healthy food that is nutritious and conducive to weight loss.
Starvation makes you lose a few pounds quickly, but that’s because your body loses its water content. Once no food is forthcoming, your body holds on to the remaining fat it has and slows down your metabolism, so you’re going to find losing those remaining pounds an uphill climb. Besides, you cannot sustain starvation for a long time – you’re bound to end up craving food and gorging yourself soon enough.
Eat more of fruits and vegetables, lean meat, pulses, legumes, whole grain, fish, low fat dairy products, and nuts and seeds rather than junk food and processed snacks. Eat small amounts at each meal, and eat every few hours rather than stuffing yourself in three large meals. This boosts your metabolism and helps you lose weight faster.
• Drink: No, I’m not talking of alcohol, (although if I am I would suggest you stay away from the booze if you really want to lose weight) but of plain old water.
This amazing liquid, besides making you feel full so that you don’t feel like snacking all the time, is responsible for flushing out all the toxins from your skin and leaving you looking healthy and younger. You could also fill up using soups with no added butter or condiments or fruit drinks that do not contain sugar.
• Play: Enough cannot be said about the value of exercise. Hit the gym, take a jog, enroll in an aerobics class. And If you cannot stand exercising, you could always take up a sport you enjoy. The weight loss formula is simple – burn more calories than you consume and you lose weight.
• Lift: An added boost to your efforts comes when you incorporate working with weights in your exercise plan. Strength training helps build muscles which in turn boost your metabolism and helps you burn calories even when you’re sleeping or at rest.
• Moderate: The key to rapid weight loss is, ironically, to do things moderately. Eating very little or working out too much can only have a negative effect on your body, one that is permanent. So be sensible, and become slim soon.
